MSU Copier Program

Document Management

Document management is the process of managing the creation, storage, distribution, and printing of a document. Konica Minolta machines can be a part of a document management solution that can be tailored to the unique needs of any department. All machines can scan (electronically capture) a document and distribute the document to a folder on a network server or to an email address.

Document management can take many forms, but the most common form for the average office environment at MSU is converting storage files full of hardcopy documents to electronic storage. A Konica Minolta machine can be combined with document management software to convert hardcopy documents to electronic documents and store them in an electronic document library. The electronic document library is searchable making it easier and faster for employees to find the documents they need without having to leave their desk. It can also free much needed space in an office by reducing or eliminating the need for bulky file cabinets.

When assessing your department’s copier needs the Konica Minolta-Albin representative can explore document management needs and recommend a solution that will leverage the capabilities of your new Konica Minolta copier.
